The Kite Trust is a registered charity based in Cambridge, serving LGBT young people.
It was founded in 1993 and was initially called the Kite Project. In 2003 it was renamed SexYOUality. In 2016 it was relaunched as The Kite Trust.[1]
It works mainly in two areas:[2]
- Direct services for young LGBT people including weekly drop in groups, 1-2-1 support, youth volunteering opportunities and peer education projects, previously branded as 2byou.
- Support, training and advice for local schools and professionals helping to create a more inclusive, safer community for all young people regardless of their sexual orientation.
