Location of Fermanagh District in Northern Ireland
County Fermanagh is one of the six historic counties of Northern Ireland. It is almost cut in half by the two parts of Lough Erne. The main town is Enniskillen. From 1973 onwards it was replaced by the Fermanagh local government district with very similar borders, but this was merged on 1 April 2015 into the new district of Fermanagh and Omagh.
