H G Cocks (Harry Cocks) is a lecturer at Nottingham University. His main interest is in the social and cultural history of Britain since the eighteenth century, especially the history of sexuality, gender and the body.

His published work includes Nameless Offences: homosexual desire in the 19th Century, Tauris, 2003. ISBN 978-1-84885-090-3, and Chapter 4, "Secrets, Crimes and Diseases, 1800–1914" in A Gay History of Britain by Matt Cook.

Harry Cocks is a Patron of LGBT History Month.
