Wyre is a local government district in Lancashire. The main town is Fleetwood.

Not to be confused with Wyre Forest in Worcestershire.

LGBT history

The writer J R Ackerley went to school in Fleetwood.

There is a Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde LGBT Forum.[1]
