LGBT history
The trans comedian Bethany Black comes from Chorley.
The Chorley FM radio station sees the LGBT community as an important part of its target audience. In 2007, Chorley FM won the "Community Service Award" at the National LGBT Health Summit with particular reference to the 'Breakout Show targeted at the local LGBT community.[1] Other LGBT programmes include 'In the Pink' which plays mainly club music from the LGBT scene.
