LGBT history

The actor Antony Cotton and the novelist Matt Cain were born in Bury.

The Bury LGBT Networking Group was set up in 2011.

In July 2012 the Walking Rainbow took place: a walk through Bury Town Centre promoting equality, celebrating diversity and saying “no” to homophobia.

In April 2023 Bury Pride will happen [1].
