Rev Sharon Ferguson

Rev Sharon Ferguson is a pastor in the Metropolitan Community Church. Since 2010 she has been Senior Pastor at MCC North London.[1] In 2008 she took over from Rev Richard Kirker as Chief Executive of the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement, having previously been Assistant Chief Executive.[2]

In 2010 Sharon Ferguson and her partner Franka Strietzel applied for a marriage licence at Greenwich register office and were (as expected) refused. They are taking the case to the European Court of Human Rights.[3]

In 2014 she resigned as CEO of LGCM, and was succeeded by Tracey Byrne.
