Media City at Salford Quays

The City of Salford is a metropolitan borough in Greater Manchester. It is separated from the City of Manchester by the River Irwell, and from Trafford by the Manchester Ship Canal. Salford Quays, on the Manchester Ship Canal, has been redeveloped as a major cultural and media centre.

LGBT history

The composer Peter Maxwell Davies was born in Salford. [1].

In 1993 Salford Students Union banned the Pink Guide that was produced for Manchester students on the grounds that it was too explicit.
