Kentish Town is an area in the London Borough of Camden. The name has no connection to Kent.
LGBT history
The trans woman Destiny Lauren was murdered there in 2009.[1]
Castlehaven Pride, also known as Outsider Pride, was due to be celebrated at Castlehaven Community Park on 29 July 2019.
- "Organised by grassroots LGBTQ+ homeless organisation The Outside Project, who run a weekly Monday night drop-in at Castlehaven Community Association, the event is about hanging out in a sober space with like-minded types – while, of course, marking the half century since the Stonewall Riots."[2]
- "We have been informed that the Castlehaven Pride event scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled due to lack of numbers. Castlehaven let us know this yesterday afternoon and send their apologies - hence the short notice."[3]
