The Queen's Tower of Imperial College (originally part of the Imperial Institute)

South Kensington is an area of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It is noted for its museums, including the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

LGBT history

The artist Edward Burra was born there in 1905.

Local residents have included Virginia Woolf and Francis Bacon (artist).
