Bowdon is a village in Trafford, Greater Manchester, but formerly in Cheshire.

LGBT history

Michael Bishop, former chairman of the British Midland airline, was born in Bowdon, and took the title of Baron Glendonbrook, of Bowdon in the County of Cheshire when he was made a life peer.
