Tunbridge Wells is a local government district and borough in Kent. It takes its name from it main town, Royal Tunbridge Wells.

LGBT history

Siegfried Sassoon was born in Matfield in 1886.

The Tunbridge Wells CHE Group was founded in 1972 and later renamed TWIGG.

Sissinghurst Castle, near Cranbrook, was the home of Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicholson.
