The Joint Council for Gay Teenagers was an organisation formed in 1978 to include all the groups providing support to gay teenagers. One of the group’s main figures was Michael (Micky) Burbidge, author of the JCGT book Breaking the silence. The JCGT also published a booklet I know What I am.[1]

The JCGT's papers are held at the Hall-Carpenter Archives.
