Kincardineshire is a former county on the east coast of Scotland. From 1975 it was part of the Grampian region, and since 1996 it has been part of Aberdeenshire. The county town is Stonehaven: the previous county town, Kincardine (not to be confused with Kincardine-on-Forth in Fife) ceased to exist in the middle ages.
