Jim MacSweeney is the owner of Gay's the Word bookshop.
He was listed number 71 in the Independent on Sunday's Pink List 2011. The Pink List said:
- "Sadly, the only bookshop looted during this summer's riots, Gay's the Word quickly bounced back with the help of the local community. MacSweeney came from Cork in 1984 and set up the UK's only dedicated lesbian and gay store in Bloomsbury, central London."[1]
