In 2007, Chorley FM won the "Community Service Award" at the National LGBT Health Summit with particular reference to the Breakout Show targeted at the local LGBT community.[1] Other LGBT programmes include In the Pink which plays mainly club music from the LGBT scene.
POUT is a long established group for young people in the Chorley and South Ribble areas who identify as LGBT or are questioning their sexuality or gender identity. Meetings are held in Leyland.[2]
