Streatham is a district within the London Borough of Lambeth. Prior to 1965 it was part of the old metropolitan Borough of Wandsworth.
LGBT history
There was a Streatham CHE Group in the 1970s.
Brownies was a well-known gay sauna, now closed down. There is now a Streatham branch of Chariots sauna.
Streatham Common contains a well-known gay cruising area.
Streatham Storm is a women's ice hockey team.
