Location of Spelthorne within Surrey

Spelthorne is a local authority district and borough within Surrey. The main towns are Ashford, Middlesex, Laleham, Shepperton, Staines, Stanwell and Sunbury. It was historically part of Middlesex, being north of the Thames, but was transferred to Surrey when the rest of Middlesex (except Potters Bar) was absorbed into Greater London in 1965.

LGBT history

David Wilshire, who introduced Section 28, was MP for Spelthorne.

The Outline list of groups in Surrey includes a Twister youth group in Spelthorne.[1]
