Parts of the original county are now included within Greater London although in some cases retaining "Surrey" as a postal county. Surrey County Council still has its administrative headquarters in the London Borough of Kingston upon Thames.
LGBT history
There was a Surrey CHE Group.
In the early 1980s there was a Surrey Youth Group for under 26 year olds [1].
SLAGO (the Surrey and London Association of Gay Organisations) originally included groups in Surrey as the name implies, but the current member groups are all based in Greater London.
Gay Surrey is a charity serving the county.
Surrey County Council operates Twister LGBT youth groups in several parts of the county.[2]
