Ilford is a town and former borough in north east London, now part of the London Borough of Redbridge.

LGBT History

The singer Kathy Kirby was born in Ilford in 1938, and the comedian Simon Amstell was born in Gants Hill in 1979 and went to school in Ilford.

The Ilford CHE Group (later the East London CHE Group) was founded in 1972.

The Redbridge Rainbow Community meets in Ilford.[1]
