Jim MacSweeney is the owner of Gay's the Word bookshop.
He was listed number 72 in the Independent on Sunday's Pink List 2011. The Pink List said:

MacSweeney came from Cork in 1984 and set up the UK's only dedicated lesbian and gay store in Bloomsbury, central London."[1] In fact the shop was set up by Ernest Hole and others before MacSweeney came from Ireland.
