Brentwood is a town and local government borough in Essex.

Guy Black was educated at Brentwood School, a local independent school, and took the title of Lord Black of Brentwood when he was made a peer. In 1983 Gay News listed the Prince Albert pub, on the B186 two miles from town, as a gay friendly pub, especially Friday and Sunday [1].
