Ayr is a town and former Royal Burgh in South Ayrshire. The first Parliament of Scotland was held there in 1315.
LGBT history
Eileen Gallagher was born in Ayr in 1959, and Karen Dunbar was born there in 1971.
LGBT Youth Scotland held their annual awards ceremony there in 2013.[1]
