Template:First visit

From LGBT History Project
First visit
{{{text}}}
– {{{name}}}, {{{year}}}

A first-hand account of a first visit to a venue: what it looked like, what it felt like, who was there. Any length, from a couple of sentences upwards.

For testimony about events, organisations or people, use Template:Recollection instead. The two divide by subject rather than by length: recollections record what happened, first visits record what a place was like.

Usage on an article page, all on one line:

{{First visit | text = What you remember of walking in. | name = Contributor name or initials | year = 1987 }}

Gather these under a heading such as "Personal memories" at the foot of a venue article. A page may carry many of them.

See LGBT History Project:Editorial Policy §2.9.
