The Quaker Lesbian and Gay Fellowship was "a welcoming and supportive group for Quakers of all sexualities and those who, while not Quakers, are in general sympathy with the Quaker thought and lifestyle."[1]

It grew out of Friends Homosexual Fellowship, formed in 1973.[1] In 1992 a short film 'Love Makes a Family: Lesbian and Gay Families in the Religious Society of Friends' was produced. The group was replaced by Quaker Gender and Sexual Diversity Community in 2017.

Sex Matters to Quakers, set up about 2023, is a group of Quakers in Britain who believe that sex is a biological reality and support women’s sex-based rights [2].

The divisions within the Society of Friends (Quakers) over gender ideology and gender critical, and the attempts to suppress dissenting gender critical views, have in 2023 caused great anxiety amongst many Quakers.
