London Borough, generally reckoned to be part of West London. The current London Borough broadly corresponds to the Fulham district of Middlesex, which was formed by the Metropolis Management Act 1855. In 1900 the two Metropolitan Boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham were created within the County of London. The two boroughs were merged in 1964 to form the London Borough of Hammersmith, which was renamed "London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham" in 1979.
