Gender Identity Theory

From LGBT History Project

Gender Identity Theory a term used by Kathleen Stock to describe the idea that trans people are defined, not as people who have had surgery, or taken hormones, or who dress or behave in particular ways, but as people whose gender identities are misaligned with the sex 'assigned' to them at birth [1] see also Gender ideology.
