Gary Millar

Gary Millar (born 1959) is a Labour (and formerly Liberal Democrat politician. He has been a councillor on Liverpool city council since 2008, and Lord Mayor of Liverpool for 2013–2014.
Gary Millar was born and brought up in Leith. On leaving school he joined the Scottish Office and worked as a civil servant in London and in Edinburgh. In 1985 he graduated from Liverpool Polytechnic with a BTEC HND in Computer Studies, and has since had several jobs in the private sector.[1]
His consort as Lord Mayor is his civil partner, Steve Macfarlane.
