Folkestone is a seaside town and port within the borough of Shepway, Kent.

LGBT history

In February 2012 the artist Vince Laws took over the Georges House Gallery for two weeks with an LGBT-themed display.[1]

On August 2014 the actor Stuart Antony opened Bar 24 in Rendezvous Street, which "prides itself on being "Folkestone's brand new LGBT venue."[2]
