Abbey church ruins
Ruins of Rievaulx Abbey
Rievaulx is a village in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, within the North York Moors National Park. The village is contained within what was the inner court of Rievaulx Abbey (founded 1132) which was one of the wealthiest abbeys in the country. The abbey ruins are still a major tourist attraction.
