Asif as Asifa
Asif Quaraishi (born 1982 or 1983), who performs under the name of Asifa Lahore, is a Muslim drag queen. He has received abuse and death threats in the past and the police were on alert in case of a backlash after Channel 4's airing of Muslim Drag Queens.[1]

He was listed number 86 in the Rainbow List 2014. The citation said:

"Also known as Asifa Lahore, Quaraishi is the UK’s first Muslim drag queen and is considered an icon for the Asian gay community. A DJ and singer (sometimes for the LGBT club Club Kali) Quaraishi is bidding to represent Britain at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest."[2]
