West Bromwich Town Hall
West Bromwich is a town in the West Midlands, part of the borough of Sandwell and previously in Staffordshire.

LGBT history

Gay evenings, sometimes attended by Noele Gordon, were held in the Three Mile Oak in West Bromwich in 1968.[1]

In 1974 police observations on a sauna at 385 High Street led to three people being charged with attempting to procure acts of gross indecency. Two men pleaded guilty and were fined £150 and £125 respectively. A third man, a former Mayor of Solihull pleaded not guilty [2].

An LGBT reading group meets in the central library once a month.[3]
