David Bell (born 1951) is a consultant psychiatrist who previously worked at the Tavistock Clinic and who became a critic of practices at the clinic for gender non conforming children. In Bell's theory Gender Transition becomes a form of conversion therapy for such children.[1]. In 2021 Bell presented his arguments as part of the Nolan Investigation braodcast on BBC Radio [2]. Bell pointed out that Gender fluidity can be celebrated without labelling a child transgender. Bell has highlighted the lack of follow up evidence for children treated medically as transgender.
