Rodean is a village in East Sussex, to the east of Brighton, now part of the City of Brighton and Hove, mainly noted for Roedean School, a leading independent day and boarding school for girls, founded 1885.

LGBT history

Nancy Spain was educated at Roedean School, and used it as the basis of the fictional "Radcliff Hall" in her novels.
