Bradford is a city in northern England, one of the five metropolitan boroughs comprising West Yorkshire. As well as the historic centre of Bradford, the City also includes the towns of Keighley, Shipley, Bingley, Ilkley, Haworth, Silsden and Denholme. Bradford grew raapidly during the insutrial revolution, particularly because of the textile industry, and was once known as the "wool capital of the world".[1]
A 2012 survey claimed that residents of Bradford had more sex than any other city in the UK.[2]
There is a "gay village" around Sackville Street.[3]
Bradford Pride has been held annually in May as an outdoor event since 2009 (following indoor events in previous years).[4]
