East Ayrshire is a council area in Scotland in the former Strathclyde region.

In November 2009 East Ayrshire Cohttp://www.east-ayrshire.gov.uk/CommunityLifeAndLeisure/AdultEducationAndCommunityLearning/LGBT.aspxuncil's Community Learning and Development Service was awarded LGBT Charter Mark status in respect of LGBT people.[1]
