The Glasgow Gay Centre was opened in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow in 1977, the first Gay Centre in the UK. It closed in 1982[1]
The Glasgow Lesbian and Gay Centre was opened in Dixon Street (just off St Enoch Square) in 1995.[2] It was then closed for building works, and formally opened in March 1996. In 2008 (by then renamed the Glasgow LGBT Centre) it moved to Bell Street. In 2009 it was closed, amide accusations of financial irregularities.
