T-House was the first Black Trans organisation in the United Kingdom, existing in about 2014-15. The organisation stated that they had a focus specifically on gender and cultural identity with a strong emphasis on autonomy. Our mission is to be steadfast in our resolve to improve the quality of life for Black Trans people. We strive to empower, encourage self- respect, heighten self-awareness, instil confidence and raise self-esteem."[1]

"Jael started the first group exclusively for black transgender people called T-House. She currently runs and self funds Zambarau, a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex (LGBTI) group for those of African descent."[2]
