Location of Newark and Sherwood within Nottinghamshire
Newark and Sherwood is a local government district in Nottinghamshire. The district includes Sherwood Forest and the towns of Newark-on-Trent, Southwell and Ollerton.

LGBT history

The headquarters of the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement is in Newark.
