Part of the Forest, near Epping
Epping Forest is an area of ancient woodland, partly in Greater London and partly in Essex. It is a former royal forest (in other words an area reserved for hunting by the monarch), and is managed by the City of London Corporation. Epping Forest District covers only part of the forest, part being in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

LGBT history

In 2010 Epping Forest District Council sponsored a marquee at Essex Pride to develop closer contacts with the gay community.[1]

In 2013, EGM undertook a survey of the views of LGBT people in the Epping Forest District, on behalf of the District Council.[2]
