The Good Parliament or God Parliament was called by King Edward III in 1376, and sat from the 28th of April to the 10th of July. It derived its name from a number of reforms to the government that it instituted.
The Parliament petitioned the King to banish all "Lombard brokers" because they were usurers, and other foreign artisans and traders, particularly "Jews and Saracens", who were accused to having introduced "the too horrible vice which is not to be named" which they thought would destroy the realm.[1]
