The GMB is the third-largest trade union in the UK. The initials originally stood for "General, Municipal and Boilermakers".

LGBT sections

GMB Shout! is the recognised self-organised network of (LGBT) members in the London Region of GMB, Britain's General Union. Its goal is to expand the network across all GMB regions.^[1]

GMB Scotland - Equal Rights Group was a member of the LGBT Consortium in 2012.^[2]
