The Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS) is the oldest teachers' trade union in the world, having been founded in 1847, and the largest teachers' union in Scotland.
LGBT Network
The EIS LGBT Network, previously the EIS Gay and Lesbian Network, was a member of the LGBT Consortium in 2012.
