Angus is a council area in Scotland. It was a county (known for a time as Forfarshire) until it became a district within the Tayside region. It became a single-tier authority when Tayside was abolished in 1996. The county originally included the City of Dundee. The largest town in the current council area is Arbroath.LGBT history
Angus LGBT for Equality and Diversity (ALED) was founded in 2011.[1]
LGBT Youth Scotland have been working in partnership with Angus Council to start a new LGBT youth group in Arbroath.[2]
