Derry, also known as Londonderry, is a city and former county borough in Northern Ireland, within County Londonderry, situated on the River Foyle. From 1 April 2015 it became part of the new district of Derry and Strabane.LGBT history
The singer Jimmy McShane and the journalist Nell McCafferty were born in Derry.
Foyle Pride is has been held in the city since 1993.[1]
There has been a Foyle 'Queer' History Project.[2]
