Conwy is a county borough in North Wales. It was formed in 1996 by merging the districts of Aberconwy (formerly in Gwynedd) and Colwyn (formerly in Clwyd). The main towns are the seaside resorts of Llandudno and Colwyn Bay, the historic walled town of Conwy (formerly known in English as Conway) and the inland resort of Betws y Coed.LGBT History
