Thurrock is a unitary authority in the ceremonial county of Essex, located on the north bank of the Thames Estuary. Towns in the borough include Grays, Purfleet and Tilbury.

In 2010 Essex Gay Men undertook a survey of LGBT people in Thurrock.[1]
