London 2018 is the voluntary organisation putting together the bid for London to host the Gay Games/OutGames in 2018.
Contents
Mission
London 2018 will produce a winning bid for the 2018 Gay Games/OutGames. It will engage Londoners, businesses, organisations, institutions and the LGB&T communities to support its bid. It will secure the best available facilities to stage a world-class event. In bidding it will leave a legacy of sport, culture and human rights for all Londoners.
Objectives
To make a difference by:
- working with National Governing Bodies (NGBs) to make their sport inclusive
- challenging homo/transphobia in society
- promoting health and wellbeing for LGB&T people

History
London 2018 was set up in June 2010, just before the Cologne 2010 Gay Games, by Jonathan Harbourne, to bring the Games to London as soon after the London 2012 Olympics as possible. Suran Dickson soon joined Jonathan as co-chair, and they formed a leadership committee with regular meetings.
