Westminster is the historic area within the current City of Westminster which includes Westminster Abbey, Westminster School, and the Palace of Westminster (the Houses of Parliament).

Westminster Abbey

Westminster Abbey, founded in the 10th century, has been used for royal coronations since 1066. it was briefly a cathedral in the reign of Henry VIII.

LGBT history

Nicholas Udall became Headmaster of Westminster School in 1554.

Bishop Percy Jocelyn was caught having gay sex in an inn in Westminster in 1822.

There was a Westminster CHE Group at one time. In 1987 a Westminster Lesbian and Gay Youth Group was being set up for 16-24 year olds, meeting at St Martins in the Fields.
