Mid Ulster is the provisional name of one of the new local government districts for Northern Ireland to come into use from 2015. It corresponds to three existing local government districts, Magherafelt District, Cookstown District, and the Borough of Dungannon and South Tyrone.

LGBT history

In 2012 there was a controversy about allegedly homophobic remarks by a Maghrafelt councillor being omitted from the official record of the council debate.[1]
